SFC Geig was born on October 13, 1975, in Barberton, Ohio. He attended high school at Norton High in Norton, Ohio. He enlisted in the Army on April 13, 1995 and attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; where he was awarded the MOS of 63B (Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic). In 1999, SFC Geig re-classed to 31B (Military Police Officer).
His military education includes: Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic School, Recovery School, NBC Defense Course, Military Police School, Air Assault Course, Combat Communications Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader’s Course, Army Combatives Level 1, Total Army Instructor Course, Drill Sergeant School, Master Resiliency Trainer, and Warrior First Responder Course.

SFC Geig’s personal achievements include selection to the Commandants List at the Advance Leaders Course and Drill Sergeant’s Course. He has been recognized for his art by: Interview on FOX 7 News, Article in The Mountaineer, Commission for the 519th Military Police BN, the 91st Military Police BN, Mental Health Association of Jefferson County, NY and two book covers.
SFC Geig is married to Amber Geig and together they have raised some outstanding children. His hobbies include: pencil drawing, volunteering, motorcycling, building furniture, and spending time with his family.
